Morning: The LEAD Team in South Asia
DENNIS and LOIS HARTNETT (names changed for security reasons) are one of six couples who make up the LEAD team in South Asia. Each couple travels to teach basic Bible doctrine, leadership, and church-planting principles to national leaders. Pastor Vipul (name changed for security reasons) learned about chronological Bible storying at a LEAD seminar in India. Though skeptical, he gave it a try. He went to a Hindu village and left with 30 names to follow up with and an invitation to return. Six months later, he was telling stories to more than 120 people in eight different villages. Your faithfulness to the Cooperative Program is helping spread the story of Jesus. Pray that the people of these villages will have open hearts as they hear the greatest story every told. Pray for Pastor Vipul’s safety as he is faithful to tell God’s story.

Evening: Eastern Nebraska Association
Missionaries CHARLES and JOY MCLAIN serve in eastern Nebraska, where Charles is associate director of missions and church starter strategist. There are 26 counties in the Eastern Nebraska Association—many of them without any type of evangelical witness. Your faithful prayer support is absolutely essential to the work of planting churches and reaching people in this area. Pray that churches of the association will be able to start Bible studies and other new works in these needy areas. Pray also that God will lead church planters to come to eastern Nebraska to help birth new congregations.
STATEMENT: Paul speaks of the contribution needed from each member of the church. As a member grows, other members are encouraged to grow. The same is true with giving; one member who grows in giving is an example for others.
