Morning: 1,000 Copies of the JESUS Film
In one Asian city, 1,000 copies of the JESUS film were
distributed recently with the help of churches like yours
working together through the Cooperative Program and the
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. LYN BISHOP says since
the people in her city have no prior knowledge of the Gospel,
showing them the film helps them visualize the Bible stories
they are learning. “The Christians tell us that once the lost
person has these pictures in their mind … they become much
more likely to believe and accept that the stories are true
instead of made up,” she says. The Christians in this city pay
it forward — after viewing the JESUS film, they pass it on to
friends and family members who are also coming to know
Christ. This week, pray for Lyn and ask God for thousands of
people to view this film and pray to receive Christ.
Luke 16:10-12 Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is unrighteous in very little is also unrighteous in much. So if you have not been faithful with the unrighteous money, who will trust you with what is genuine? And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own?
Evening: Mission Partners Needed for New England
STEVE NERGER is the State Director of Missions for the
six states of New England. His primary assignment is to
oversee the church planting process, which includes awareness
of church planting needs, enlistment of pastors and sponsors,
and equipping new pastors as they begin new churches. With
only 260 churches and missions to reach the 14.2 million
people living in New England, North American missionaries
Steve and JANET Nerger pray that God will send more
mission partners and pastors to help them in the task of
reaching this great mission field for Christ. We can be a part
of the answer to their prayer request with our faithful
participation in CP. Pray for Steve and Janet and the millions
of people in New England who need a personal relationship
with Christ.
STATEMENT: The word steward in the Bible means “manager.” Everything we possess really belongs to God; we just manage it for Him.
Think about it; God gives us freedom to give away what belongs to Him.
